The Coalfields Enterprise Fund, the venture capital Fund managed by Enterprise Ventures on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, has completed an investment in PMF Products Limited, alongside management contributions and the company's Bank.

The company, located in the coalfield ward of Sherburn-in-Elmet in Yorkshire, manufactures and supplies a range of storage and sports equipment, predominantly for the education sector via a network of national distributors and major educational purchasing organisations.

As well as manufacturing a wide range of products from raw materials, PMF Products also provide a bespoke design and supply service to commercial customers.

Paul Taberner, Coalfields Enterprise Fund Investment Director, said, "We are delighted to be able to provide the funding to P & M Fabrications - the company has a strong management team, who have spotted a niche in the market, with great commercial prospects and the potential to branch out into a number of areas and further widen their customer base".

"As well as employing its entire workforce from a coalfield area, the manufacturing process further supports the local infrastructure, by subcontracting to local companies, who are integral to the production process".
